Paste any public YouTube playlist link — we'll analyze views, durations, and upload dates.

How do you analyze a YouTube playlist?

Paste the playlist URL into the analyzer above and press Analyze. The tool fetches every video in the playlist from the official YouTube Data API and shows the stats that matter: total and average views, total watch time, average video length, and when the videos were uploaded — all in seconds, even for playlists with hundreds of videos.

Before committing to a long course or tutorial series, two questions matter: is it any good, and is it still current? View counts tell you which videos people actually watch, and the upload date range tells you whether the playlist is fresh or hasn't been touched since 2019.

Which video in a playlist is the most viewed?

Click the Views column header to sort the whole playlist by view count. Creators use this to study which topics in a competitor's playlist perform best; learners use it to spot the standout videos in a long series. You can also sort by duration or upload date with one click.

Do you just need the total watch time?

If all you want is how long the playlist takes to watch — including at 1.25×, 1.5×, and 2× playback speed — use our YouTube Playlist Length Calculator instead. It accepts individual video links too, not just playlists.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the YouTube playlist analyzer show?

For any public playlist it shows the number of videos, total and average views, total watch time, average video length, and the upload date range — plus a sortable table with every video's views, duration, and upload date.

Is the playlist analyzer free?

Yes, completely free. No sign-up, no subscription, no ads.

Where does the view count data come from?

Directly from the official YouTube Data API, so the numbers match what you see on YouTube. A few channels hide their view counts; those videos show a dash.

Can I sort the videos by views or duration?

Yes — click any column header in the results table to sort by position, duration, views, or upload date. Click again to reverse the order.

How is this different from the playlist length calculator?

The length calculator answers one question: how long will this take to watch, including at faster speeds. The analyzer goes deeper — views, upload dates, and per-video comparisons — useful for judging a playlist's quality and freshness, or researching a competitor's content.

Can I analyze a private playlist?

No. Only public playlists are accessible through the YouTube Data API. Private or unlisted playlists cannot be analyzed.

Is there a limit on playlist size?

No practical limit — the analyzer pages through the entire playlist, so playlists with hundreds or thousands of videos work fine.
